Happy Weekend & Happy 3rd Birthday to the Blog!

Happy weekend, everyone! I was organizing yesterday & realized it was my blog's little ol' birthday today! Three years ago, I started on this creative adventure of finding new things, trying new things, & simply enjoying discovering what it means to inspire others & be inspired (Here's my first post, kind of funny, & I can see my love for coffee hasn't changed much!). It's kind of lucky I celebrate my blog at the beginning of each year, as we're all refreshed with new & exciting things to come--it's a fun way to reflect even more of where I'd like to take this blog in its future!
& yes, I was dorky enough to make my blog a cake; however, I received some cool baking gifts this year for Christmas, & it's been my mini resolution to work on my cooking & baking skills, so I took full advantage of this little celebration & tried this hazelnut/chocolate chip cake recipe! One of the perks to baking (so I hear) is that you can add your own special touch to the recipe to make it your own...so I, of course, found a way to incorporate a map using my map cookie cutter (& simple ingredients, such as sprinkles). But, of course.
As they always say, there's always an excuse to celebrate!
Thanks to all of you for checking in & hopefully leaving a bit more inspired! This year will have some new types of inspiration to share!
