Passport to: Tatte in Brookline, MA

On one of my frequent trips to Boston (I promise, I’ll work on broadening my horizons beyond the Northeast coastline, & my trip to Europe 6 years ago), I looked up some local spots I’d never heard of before--I've pretty much explored the downtown to the T (ha, no pun intended, Bostonians). For this particular mini journey, I was on the lookout for some fine cookies and/or bakeries that had a cute, “Frenchy”, nostalgic feel to it...& so I came across Tatte.

Tatte is technically located in Brookline, which is right outside of downtown Boston on the Green Line (right off of the St. Mary’s T Stop toward Cleveland Circle). The minute I stepped off the train, I entered such a perfectly quaint little street lined with eclectic brownstones, shops, & restaurants, with a peek of the skyline over the summer trees (how poetic do I sound so far? I'm trying to create the mood..).

Everywhere I looked there was one adorable, gorgeous, beautiful treat after another--a fine bakery, to say the least. I couldn't stop snapping photos of every nook & cranny & delicious dish. This wasn't your typical place for chocolate chip, brownie creations--it was filled unique, gourmet, & pretty treats you wouldn't see anywhere else. This sort of place is what you call, "a hidden gem" & tell everyone about it, hoping they'll get the chance to try it out, too.

Not only were they unique, but they were sweet & delicious. It reminded me of some of the cute little French bakeries I'd walk into in Paris way back when. I will admit, some of the treats look very unique, to where you question what it might be...but just trust me when I say the lady behind it all knows what she's doing--everything here will satisfy any sweet tooth!

Did I mention they serve amazing coffee, too?
